The Acierto IF Desk
We are looking to create a subscriber-based service that brings information to your desk, instead of leaving you to chase it down on your own.
Something like this. Open the sample issue.
How it could help you
It keeps you up to date on what has changed recently, so you are not hunting through several different sources and sites to find it.
What is in it so far
New DDS directives, and what each one changes for SDP in practice.
Recent fair hearing decisions. They set no precedent, and they are still the clearest view available of how these questions are actually being decided.
FMS changes: new providers, changes to employer burden rates, and changes to what a provider offers.
What else has moved, at DDS, at the regional centers, and in the other places this surfaces.
What would help you most?
The Desk is being built around what facilitators actually need. If there is something you keep having to work out for yourself, tell us and it goes on the list.
These answers are sent anonymously and are not attached to your listing. We see what facilitators want, not who wants it.

Update your Acierto IF profile
Always free. This listing is how families across California find a facilitator, and it is shared widely in the SDP community. The more you fill in about what you help with, the more a family can see before they contact you.
Please review every field below and correct anything out of date. Write in the language you are reading this page in, and we take care of the other one. Saving marks your listing “Provider verified” with today's date.
I would rather write both English and Spanish myself

What do you help families with?
When a family builds a list of the help they want, your listing and the side by side comparison show which areas on that list you cover. How many you tick does not change the order: facilitators who offer the type of support a family picked (person-centered planning, SDP Transition Supports or Active in SDP) come first. For person-centered planning, that means a tick in the Person-centered planning row below. Listings that match equally appear in a different order each visit. Each area below says what it covers, with the wording families see underneath it.
Ticking a box publishes that area on your listing straight away. Adding details helps families understand how you provide that support, and it is what they read when they are choosing between facilitators who cover the same areas.
